Halloween has come and gone, along with the respective days of All Souls and All Saints...I'm not Catholic, but I appreciate the holidays....I hope Halloween 2011 was a magical one for many.
I want to first dedicate this post to the holiday season. Halloween seems like the beginning of it, for me, and it's a great kick off. Soon it will be Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then New Year's....(and after that, in my family, the Old Russian New Year on January 14!). Anyway, I just want to say that this is a great time of year, especially a great time to remember/be with your family and to remember/be with God. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even New Year's all have significant, nourishing spiritual components to them. I'm looking forward to celebrating them and feeling the warmth, love, fun and happiness that comes from this time of year. I hope everyone reading will find a way to make the most of this season!
That being said - my boy is going to be due any day now. We visited the doc on Wednesday and he said he'd be surprised if my wife lasts one more week. We'll see...we're getting excited!
